ACL405R Air-Operated Camlift
TITLE:
Air operated camlifts for walkway mounting on road tankers.
PURPOSE:
Provides a quick-action lifting mechanism for opening a road tankers foot valve (internal valve) from a pneumatic control valve/box or from the walkway.
OPERATION:
Switch air pressure to the inlet of the camlift by a control box or push/pull valve. Rotating the handle 90° to ride rollers up a cam can also manually operate them and the handle then lifts an actuating rod vertically to a rest position. Knock the handle off the rest position and a spring return on the camlift ensures the valve spring can operate unimpeded.
DISMANTLE:
To remove handle, first remove nut and washer (a slot is provided in the shaft for a screwdriver). Also do not attempt this unless you can prevent the shaft falling into the tanker). Alternatively remove the roll pin and spring and pull the shaft out from the top. Top half of diaphragm housing can be unbolted from bottom half to access diaphragm.
ADJUSTMENT:
Top nut and washer (items 12 and 15) must always be set to 2 - 3mm clear of handle when in rest position.
TECHNICAL DATA:
Body contains o-rings to seal in the event of tanker roll-over.
Chemical version (with teflon seals & stainless steel fasteners) is described
overleaf.
Lift is 38mm.
Operates with air pressure up to 900kPa (9 bar).
Thrust 2500N (550lb).
Stroke 40mm.
Air fitting 1/8" BSP
WEIGHT:
ACL405R = 2.7 kg
ACL405RAT = 2.7 kg
