API403 API ADAPTOR FOR CHEMICALS

Title:

API adaptor, 2-piece body, manual operation for use with chemicals.

Operation:

Spring loaded poppet opened by handle for discharge or by API coupler for bottom loading.

Features:

Bottom loading & discharge adaptor conforming to API RP1004.
Includes teflon (PTFE) trim for use with chemicals compatible with aluminium, stainless steel & teflon construction.
For safety, handle does not move when coupler actuates poppet.
Handle is separately spring loaded to eliminate wear due to vibration.
Shaft is supported by bushes on both ends for very rigid construction and long bearing life. Dual o-ring seals prevent leaks.
2-piece body allows nose-cone replacement
Heavy-duty spring ensures seal with teflon-to-aluminium seal.
Drain point tapped ½" BSP

Dismantle:

Remove 8 x capscrews holding body halves together
Remove cotter & clevis pin from back of poppet shaft to release poppet.
Remove cotter & clevis pin from handle shaft to remove handle & shaft.

TITLE:

API adaptor, Standard, Manual Operation with Sight Glass.

PURPOSE:

Bottom loading and discharge adaptor conforming to API RP1004. Includes sight glass with flow indicator and mounts to match industry - standard air interlock valve, Liquip Model AIV 3.

TITLE:

Full flow hand operated or position locked butterfly valve.

PURPOSE:

Operating valve to control flow of product through pipelines fitted with 75mm (3") or 100mm (4") TTMA flanges. Upgrade of previous models LBV3-V & LBV4-V.

OPERATION:

Butterfly disc is parallel to handle and can be locked in the following positions; fully closed, 1/3rd open, 2/3rd open and fully open. To change position, squeeze handle tightly so that locking lever is disengaged from slot and move to new location. Locking lever will spring back when grip is loosened on handle - ensure it is fully engaged in one of the locking slots.
LBV300 & LBV400 can have an aluminium locking tab (LBV4-7) in place of the operating handle to keep the valve locked in the required position. The locking tab must be loosened from shaft before butterfly disc can be repositioned. This is ideal for where a valve would need to be open most of the time, while still being able to shut off valve for maintenance of downstream pipework or components such as loading arms.

DISMANTLE:

Not a serviceable item. Use service-exchange.

ADJUSTMENT OR SERVICE:

Periodically (approx every 6 months), inspect butterfly seat.

DM104 Liquip Manifold Valve

DM104 Liquip Manifold Valve

TITLE:

Manifold valve, pneumatically operated, to provide bottom loading, discharge and bolt-up modular assembly system. With Open/Closed Indicator

PURPOSE:

Primary purpose is to provide a system allowing the use of a permanently attached hose for discharge of "split drops" by pump or gravity. Deleting the need to change over jumper hoses prevents spills and drips and also saves considerable driver time.

Incorporates mounting for future fitment of "Product return" system.

DM104 has an Open/Closed indicator mounted at the top of the pneumatic actuator. A red indicator marks closed position. In open position, a green sleeve covers the red closed position indicator.

OPERATION:

Manifold valves bolt directly to each other, one for each compartment, to form the manifold.

The upper gallery forms a Ø100mm pipe connecting a bolted-on API adaptor to the tanker pipework, so allowing completely normal bottom loading & gravity discharge of individual compartments.

A second, lower, gallery runs at right angles and when bolted together they form an Ø80mm pipe. Discharge from this lower gallery can be from an end fitting e.g., 80mm camlock adaptor on 100mm TTMA flange, part number MC3-V4 5° : or from any of the bottom outlets on each valve e.g., 80mm camlock on 75mm TTMA flange part number MC3-V3 5°.

To enable the manifold to drain, a special blank flange BF4-5, 100mm TTMA has a ¾" BSP port to allow fit of a vacuum breaker VB100U. It is preferable to mount the vacuum breaker at walkway level which is above the product level to prevent any leaks.
Alternatively a pneumatic valve can be placed in the system to operate during pump transfers. But if it is essential to direct mount the vacuum break to the manifold an isolation ball valve is required between the vacuum breaker and manifold.

The upper gallery is drained through to the lower gallery by pneumatic operation of the piston in the manifold valve.

Pneumatics allows user-choice of control e.g., valves may be interlocked to allow only one to open at a time, or to prevent any being open when bottom loading etc. Liquip MAC1XX is recommended as it also includes pump suction control.

PERIODIC SERVICE:

No periodic service is necessary, only checks to ensure poppet seals and opens and closes correctly.

TECHNICAL DATA:

Air ram operation is similar to ARO100, with some common parts.

Tanker air pressure 600 kPa to 800 kPa to operate. Poppet lifts at 120 kPa back pressure against spring only.

Passed European CEN test for endurance to 25,000 cycles and subsequent leak test.
