Steel Adaptor for SLV5 series outlet valves.
PURPOSE:
To provide a low cost, lightweight flanged connection where steel tube is used for discharge pipe on road tankers.

TITLE:
Super Low Chemical Valve with Spherical Seat.
PURPOSE:
For road tanker use. Mounted in the bottom of the tank as an internal/emergency valve. Designed to provide a chemical version of the SLV5 such that standard tanker shells can be converted from petroleum specification to chemical specification with a minimum of change.
OPERATION:
Teflon seals are notoriously difficult to maintain. Liquip’s unique spherical seat
provides a vast improvement in sealing efficiency at no extra cost. Another example
of Liquip innovation.
The valve is opened by a top operator, either manual or pneumatic and the poppet
is spring return to close. The valve is of split construction that provides excellent
flexibility and easy maintenance. The valve is separate from the elbow with the joint
being sealed by a gasket.
MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTION:
Aluminium elbow body, seat & poppet
Stainless steel main spindle
Teflon encapsulated main seal
INSTALLATION:
When assembling the valve to the weld flange, DO NOT over-tighten the mounting nuts. Maximum torque to be 8.5Nm (6.3 ft.lbs)
DISMANTLE:
Remove elbow & valve from below.
Teflon seal is removable, but it will be destroyed if removed and the new seal
must be heated (by immersion in hot water) before it is assembled into the poppet
groove.
MOUNTING:
The same as Liquip's SLV5 valve - there is no need to change existing pipework.
