VOH200 Series Manhole
TITLE:
Tanker top manhole, Ø400mm clampband mounted with Ø230mm quick-opening hatch that doubles as emergency vent with pressure/vacuum relieving vent and rollover protection. Cover has one equipment and one probe-mounting pad, ie vapour vent mount & overfill probe mount.
PURPOSE:
Entry to tanker compartment is possible with removal of cover.
Mounting for overfill probe and vapour recovery vent (or dip fitting if required)
Emergency vent for sudden pressure increases and also allows top loading of
compartment.
DISMANTLE:
All mounted components & entire cover can be removed by loosening clampband and slipping off. Emergency Vent Bridge & handle may be taken off by removing e-clips from pivot pins & removing pivots.
ADJUSTMENT OR SERVICE:
Periodically check the seal in emergency vent for wear and main seal between cover & coaming.
MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTION:
All major components are aluminium.
All seals are nitrile rubber.
Coamings available in steel or aluminium to suit tanker material

VOH410 Series Manhole

PURPOSE:
Entry to tanker compartment is possible with removal of cover.
Mounting pads for overfill probe, vapour recovery and dip point.
Emergency vent for sudden pressure increases and also allows top loading
of compartment.

All mounted components can be removed by unbolting, entire cover can be removed by unbolting from coaming. Emergency vent bridge & handle may be taken off by removing e-clips from pivot pins & removing pivots.

bridge model. These models use VOH500-4 Fixed Bridge and VOH500-11 Handle Pin.

SH300 Series Swing Hatches
TITLE:
Hatch for top of tanker allowing access to compartments
PURPOSE:
This manhole is for tankers that carry dangerous goods where frequent entry is required, such as for cleaning when changing loads. Manhole complies with UK and USA requirements and drop test approved in Australia. SH303 hatches include an integral emergency vent and has a mounting boss for a pressure vacuum vent.
OPERATION:
Wingnut type clamps are undone (ones closest to hinge first) then cover swings open for access to compartment.

Not recommended
